Video visitation hours are Sunday through Saturday 8:00a to 2:30p and 4:00p to 9:00p. Visitors should log on 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

Mission Statement for Taylorville Correctional Center

To serve justice in Illinois and the Taylorville community and increase public safety in an environment that promotes successful execution of effective reentry programs to positively impact individuals' in custody  lives and reduce recidivism and victimization.

Taylorville Correctional Center is a Minimum Security Adult Male facility located on Illinois Route 29, 30 miles southeast of Springfield. The facility opened in 1990. Also important in managing the population is programs provided by the facility. These programs assist with population management and provide opportunities for individuals in custody to improve their life and work skills to enhance their chance of success upon release.
