IDOC Visitation Rules and Information -- please review before visiting

Visitors to any correctional facility will be required to produce photo identification and verification of date of birth. Please be sure to bring 2 forms of identification with you; these would include a current photo ID such as a driver's license, a state ID card, government ID card, military ID/driver's license, or acceptable documentation of non-U.S. citizenship including a current Passport, or Visa, documentation must contain the visitor's date of birth. Expired forms of identification will not be accepted. Visitors will also be required to provide vehicle information and other pertinent data, such as government identification, official credentials, attorney registration, and or law student certification.

Visitation at Greene County Work Camp will be by appointment only every day of the week, with seven (7) visits and only 2 on weekends or holiday per month. Individuals in Custody must submit a visit request form (JAC 0090) at least one week prior to the visit and receive approval from the Superintendent before the visitor arrives. Visitation hours at the work camps will be from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., with no entry allowed after 2:00 p.m.

Facility Information

The Greene County Impact Incarceration Program, a military-style boot camp originally opened in March 1993 and closed in October 2002. In February 2004, the facility reopened as a work camp equipped to house up to 200 individuals in custody who must meet stringent criteria. In June 2013, the Greene County Impact Incarceration Program reopened in accepting individuals in custody into the boot camp program while the operations of the work camp there closed in July 2013. In June 2014, the Greene County Impact Incarceration Program was closed and reopened as a work camp.
