Job Description:
Under direction, of the Assistant Warden of Programs (Senior Public Service Administrator) conducts facility on-site clinical reviews; combines considerable responsibilities that are diagnostic consultative, clinical and confidential in nature. Conducts structured evaluations and reviews of diagnostic and treatment considerations of individuals who have discharge barriers; signs petitions for commitments and involuntary admissions; utilizes independent judgement to evaluate treatment plans and their implementation for offenders to ensure that care meets the offender’s goals; revives clinical oversight from the Northern Region Mental Health Administrator. Serves as a qualified examiner; makes clinical diagnoses; signs certificates of admission for involuntary and court-ordered admissions; presents certificate in court regarding the competency of a recipient who may be discharged by the court and testifies regarding same. Cognitive behavioral programming and re-entry programming. Conducts on-site client and treatment plant clinical reviews at the facility. Participates in monthly staff, facility and program meetings, Serves as Crisis Team Meeting, Collaborates with clinical staff to identify available facility operational and community resources, and assist facility administrators with formulation of facility operational design.
Education and Experience:
Requires a master's degree in social work from a recognized school of social work supplemented by three years of supervised post master's clinical social work practice and possession of a clinical social worker's license from the Department of Professional Regulation. Requires thorough knowledge of the theories and assumptions underlying the social work field. Requires ability to make clinical judgments regarding a recipient's competency and defend same in court testimony. Requires ability to prepare complex written and oral reports.

Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Pay Scale:
Salary $5,683.00 - $8,689.00
