Brittany Greene | Deputy Director Region 3
Brittany Greene was named Deputy Director of Region 3 in December 2025. Greene oversees the operations of the region's adult correctional centers. Before her appointment, she served as Warden of Western Illinois Correctional Center and Clayton Work Camp.
Brittany Greene began her career with IDOC in 2011 as a contractual employee with CiviGenics at Jacksonville Correctional Center. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from MacMurray College.
Greene started as an entry-level Substance Abuse Counselor and began working toward her Illinois Certification Board certificate, earning her Certified Alcohol and Other Drugs counselor status. She was promoted to the position of Program Director. During these years, she worked with IDOC to transition the Greene County Work Camp into an Impact Incarceration Program with substance abuse counseling, and she assisted in expanding Jacksonville Correctional Center's treatment program from 70 to 200 beds. During this time, she also served as a part-time police officer for the City of Waverly, completing LETAC training in 2019.
Greene accepted a position with IDOC as Assistant Warden of Programs at Western Illinois Correctional Center in February 2020. She was promoted to Warden of Western Illinois Correctional Center and Clayton Work Camp in January 2021. She is also an active member of the Association of Women Executives in Corrections (AWEC).
