Clinical Psychologist

Job Description:

Under general direction of Psychologist Administrator (PSA), makes clinical diagnosis and signs certificates of admission for the developmentally disabled, the mentally retarded, and/or involuntary and court ordered admission of transfers; testifies in court regarding findings and reasons for admission; presents certificate in court regarding the competency of a recipient who are discharged by the court and testifies regarding same, and/or testifies in court regarding a defendant’s fitness to plead, to stand trial, to be sentenced or executed. Serves in a leadership capacity to professional care staff on a continuous basis as a designated team leader or lead worker by assigning cases to other professionals, monitoring other professionals' work and providing guidance to other professionals; or, clinically supervises other Psychologists, Psychologist Interns and/or psychology students.

Education and Experience:

Requires a doctoral degree in psychology from a recognized college or university supplemented by two years of supervised experience in health services of which at least one year is post-doctoral and one year is in an organized health service program; or a master's degree in psychology from a recognized college or university supplemented by at least six years of experience as a psychologist with at least two years of supervised experience in health services. Requires licensure as a Clinical Psychologist by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Pay Scale:

Salary $6,033.00 - $9,268.00

Benefit time for new employees includes three (3) personal business days, ten (10) vacation days, and twelve (12) sick days per year.
