Areda McIntosh | Chief Inspector

Areda McIntosh has been named as the Chief Inspector on behalf of the Illinois Department of Corrections. In this role, McIntosh serves as the principal administrator for developing and implementing policies and procedures regarding the grievance process statewide. Prior to her employment with the Department, McIntosh was a Senior Assistant Attorney for the Illinois Office of the Attorney General providing representation to State officers, agencies and employees for 3 ½ years. Prior to that, McIntosh was an Assistant State’s Attorney for St. Clair County. She was assigned to the felony division from 2014- 2019. McIntosh has received her Juris Doctorate as well as a Bachelors in Criminal Justice.
