Job Description:

Under general direction of the PSA, Reporting Supervisor, independently performs a variety of complex professional accounting functions in monitoring complex departmental budgetary reports and statements; establishes and maintains financial records and ledgers following established procedures, federal and state rules and regulations and generally accepted accounting principles; performs external auditing work of a complex nature.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, with courses in business administration and accounting; requires two years of professional experience in accounting, external auditing, budgetary planning and control or public accounting; requires extensive knowledge of accounting and auditing theory, principles, methods and procedures; requires extensive knowledge of laws, rules and regulations relating to state or non-state accounting or auditing procedures.

Pay Scale:

$3,969.00 - $6,184.00 Monthly

The State of Illinois provides employees with Health, Vision, and Dental insurance with a small co-payment from employees. Life insurance is provided at 100% your annual salary. This position includes a pension plan.

Benefit time for new employees includes three (3) personal business days, ten (10) vacation days, and twelve (12) sick days per year.
