Chris McDaniel | Chief Information Services Manager

Chris McDaniel was appointed CIO in Feb 2022. In this role he is responsible for advising DOC on all issues related to Information Technology, hardware, software, application development and customer support. He works closely with the Department of Innovation and Technology to ensure DOC compliance with DoIT policies, procedures and procurement services. He coordinates DoIT technical resources with DOC needs across all facilities.

Prior to coming to Dept of Corrections, McDaniel served as Manager of End User Computing for DoIT. McDaniel has several years of IT Management in the private sector prior to joining the State of Illinois. His educational background is in Physics and Astronomy.
